The setup process
Read this through once to get an understanding of what to expect during the setup process.
How long will this take?
My goal is to have you up and running within two to three weeks of start.
This will depend on how busy you are, whether you have a lead magnet or not, how good it is, and how much time you can devote to your bits. If you have a decent lead magnet, and you can work on this for 4-6 hours per week, we can have you live in 2-3 weeks.
Keeping on track with a checklist
To keep track of what needs to be done, I use a Google sheet (spreadsheet) as a checklist. I will share this sheet with you so you can see:
- what you have to do
- what I’ve done and
- what I still still have to do.
As we work through the setup process, we will add tasks as required so we don’t lose track of anything.
Note: don’t get worried about all the technical details in this checklist. I will let you know what you need to take care of—the details are there for me.
The setup process
The setup process goes through the following stages:
Here’s what happens in each stage:
1. First meeting and system setup
Our first meeting runs for about an hour. This is where we get to know each other and I gather information about what you need for the implementation. Here’s what we will do:
At the end of the meeting, your account will be set up and you will have some homework to do. I will start the setup and let you know if there’s anything else I need.
2. Capturing and responding to new leads
There are four ways you can get new leads:
In this stage, I will craft the bits we need to support all the ways you get new leads. For example:
- If you offer a lead magnet, I will create the forms and landing pages to download the lead magnet.
- If you offer a free meeting, I will set up the integration with your booking system.
For each of the ways we implement, we will also be crafting 3-4 follow-up emails. I will show you how to do this and help you along the way.
3. Evergreen Nurturing
Now it’s time to craft your Evergreen Nurturing email sequences. This is what it looks like:
This looks like a lot of emails, but here’s what you need to keep in mind:
- You already have most of what you need
- You don’t have to do it all now
- You only need to do this once
- I will show you how to do it, give you examples and edit your emails
What’s with “evergreen”?
Evergreen simply means that the emails you write are relevant now and a year (or two, or three) from now. Therefore they are “ever green”.
Your evergreen nurturing sequence will include success stories and helpful advice—all of which are really easy to write.
We are actually going to take your system “live” less than half way through crafting your evergreen nurturing sequences.
“Going live” is actually really simple; but because it’s a big step we will do this together.
After you’re live, you will need to complete your evergreen nurturing sequence. This will require that you write about one email every 2 weeks—and I will be there to make sure you don’t lose sight of it!
Note that you will "lose" some leads when we go live (especially if we imported a large number of leads). This is normal—they haven't heard from you for a while and what you're sending may not be relevant to them any more. This is actually a good thing, because we don't want to be emailing people who are not interested in what you have to say.
4. Operating your system
Once your system is live, you will only need to spend time on your system now and then. I will show you how to do things like:
